Spring Theme
We’re walking through the Old Testament and ending with Jesus to show the story of how God worked to bring people back to Him after sin entered the world. It’s also to expose students to Old Testament stories who haven’t grown up in the church and are unfamiliar with the stories of creation, Abraham, Joseph, and so on. Even for those who grew up attending Sunday School, we pick up different aspects of the stories when we hear them again and again, and God uses them to continually teach us about Himself and what it means to follow Him
Every few weeks, we have a night called Bandana Wars instead of regular youth group. The students are split into 4 groups, each for good-natured competition. There is a trophy for the winners which is proudly displayed in the church, and a bandana is tied around it with the winning group’s color.
